bu Care

Your therapeutic.
Our carrier.

AlbuCare is a chemical delivery platform that uses albumin — the body's most abundant carrier protein — to deliver RNA therapeutics and chemotherapy to solid tumors.

Delivery is the chokepoint

RNA therapeutics have solved the hard problem of designing a sequence that works. What remains unsolved is getting that sequence to the tissue that needs it.

Today's delivery technologies — lipid nanoparticles and antibody–drug conjugates — are constrained by hepatic uptake or by the availability of a clean surface antigen. The result is an industry that can treat the liver well and most solid tumors poorly.

The approach

Rather than building a new carrier, AlbuCare uses one the body already runs at scale. A partner's payload is chemically conjugated to serum albumin, travels the albumin transport pathway into tumor tissue, and is released inside the cell by the tumor's own intracellular conditions.

01  Payload

A partner's RNA sequence or small molecule.

02  Conjugation

Attached to albumin by proprietary linker chemistry.

03  Circulation

Carried through the bloodstream by the body's own transport pathway.

04  Uptake & release

Taken up by tumor tissue; payload released intracellularly.

Schematic. Not to scale.

Why it matters to a partner

P·01  Targeting

Reaches solid tumors. Not stuck in the liver.

Albumin's natural transport pathway routes payloads past the hepatic sink and into tumor tissue — opening targets the current generation of delivery systems cannot address.

P·02  Safety

Built from a protein the body already trusts.

Because the carrier is endogenous, immunogenicity stays low — enabling the repeat-dosing schedules that chronic and adjuvant cancer therapy require.

P·03  Simplicity

No specialty manufacturing. No cold chain.

Standard chemical conjugation, ambient-stable formulations and existing fill-finish capacity — the platform plugs into a partner's CMC stack rather than rebuilding it.

Grounded in established biology

Albumin binding at the Cys34 site is not a hypothesis. It has already been taken into Phase III clinical development with aldoxorubicin, and albumin's preferential accumulation in tumor tissue is well documented in the literature.

AlbuCare is not reinventing that biology — it is improving the chemistry that exploits it, with a proprietary linker designed for greater conjugate stability in circulation and cleaner release inside the cell. The closest structural analogue is the GalNAc conjugate class, which turned liver-directed RNA delivery into a routine, licensable chemistry. The same model, directed at solid tumors instead of the liver.

bu Care

AlbuCare is a B2B out-licensing platform. Partners bring the therapeutic asset; AlbuCare provides the delivery vehicle — upfront, milestones and royalties, on a per-target basis.

A clean IP boundary, non-exclusive across indications unless otherwise scoped, and a manufacturing path your CMC team already understands.
